I mean, two of my favourite characters ever, fallen into The Underworld?! Not nerve wracking at all! But as soon as I started this book, I was thrust back into this amazing book world and it felt like I never left! The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.Īfter the cliffhanger that was the ending of Mark of Athena, I was properly terrified to read this, but equally excited.
In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s armies will never die. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape? If they can fight their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea.
